Download iBye 1.1 : Backup all your datas

Have you ever wanted to make a backup of your data, but iTunes wasn't around? Then iBye is the application for all your data needs. iBye will backup your data and store that data on a FTP server of your choosing. 3g-mob.com iBye will restore this data from the backup on that FTP server as well.

Update : Version 1.1 released ! Changelog below

Download 1.1  : Official

v 1.1
  • FTP crash for no url
  • Mail deletion crash
  • Added web server
If you do not want to use a FTP server, then iBye will do a local backup and local restore on the iDevice itself. iBye has the functionality to remove all the data from the desired application of your choosing. If you feel removing all the data is not the way to go, then how about locking the deletion of data? iBye can also lock the deletion of data from happening.

iBye supports Notes, Mail, Calendar, Photos, Address Book, Safari, and the syslog. iBye's FTP connection supports EDGE, 3G, and WiFi.

Troubleshooting

IF You get this error:

THEN YOU NEED TO CREATE THE "/Library/iBM-Backup/" folder! (IT IS CASE SENSITIVE! MAKE IT JUST LIKE THAT)
Create it manually titled "iBM-Backup" without quotes. Then right-click the folder and go to properties. Check all the checkboxes to make it 777 permissions and click ok :). Then restart iBye and try again!

IMPORTANT: After install in WINSCP make sure "/Library/iBM-Backup/" has CHMOD permissions of 777. Change permissions to 777 of that folder!

IF YOU DO NOT SEE THIS FOLDER AFTER REFRESH: Create it manually titled "iBM-Backup" without quotes (IT IS CASE SENSITIVE! MAKE IT JUST LIKE THAT). Then right-click the folder and go to properties. Check all the checkboxes to make it 777 permissions and click ok :). Then restart iBye and try again!

This has worked for other people! Read this thread.

If you get "Stream open error", that means you did not properly enter the FTP URL. If your sure the URL is fine, it has to be entered with FTP:// at front and / at end. Also check the Username and Password.

The IP that worked for me - or the IP you should try:

ftp://LANIPHERE:21/

i.e.: ftp://192.168.5.515:21/
Also need User and Pass entered in the textboxes below this IP box.

If it DOES NOT WORK also try this:
Try accessing the same IP from ur Windows PC or Macbook and see if you can connect that way via Internet Explorer or Safari. For this you would just plug in the same address (for example: "ftp://192.168.5.515:21/" in IE/FireFox/Safari and then type your User and Pass in popup window. If you can't connect via an internet browser to your FTP it's DEFINITELY THE SERVER

If iBye crashes on BackUp or Restore - that means the URL is not entered or you put HTTP:// instead of FTP:// - OR you typed the URL wrong.

If you have any other problems post here! But this crack of iBye does work. The FTP server setting up takes awhile. I used Bulletproof because it was the easiest :). Make sure when you set Users up they have READ/WRITE/APPEND and Create/Delete folder permissions! And set the Home folder!
